Rabbi Joseph Dweck teaches and writes on contemporary Orthodox Jewish thought, drawing from the classical Sephardi tradition and presenting Torah’s ancient wisdom in modern, pragmatic, and meaningful ways.

From 2013 to 2025 he served as Senior Rabbi of the S&P Sephardi Community of the UK, the country’s oldest Jewish community (founded in 1656), where he oversaw the Sephardi Beth Din and the Sephardi Kashrut Authority. During this period he also held senior positions at the London School of Jewish Studies, the Council of Christians and Jews, the Board of Deputies of British Jews, and the Conference of European Rabbis. He is the Rosh Bet Midrash of The Ḥabura and holds the Rabbi Levy Chair of Jewish Wisdom at LSJS.

Educated at Yeshiva Hazon Ovadia in Jerusalem under former Sephardi Chief Rabbi Ovadia Yosef z”l, Rabbi Dweck received rabbinic ordination through the Sephardic Rabbinical College of Brooklyn. He holds an MA in Jewish Education and trained as a psychotherapist at Regent’s University London. He previously served as rabbi of Congregation Sha’are Shalom in Brooklyn (1999–2013) and as Rosh Yeshiva and Head of School at Barkai Yeshiva (2007–2013).

In 2026, Rabbi Dweck moved to Israel with his family and continues to teach internationally while maintaining an active presence on digital and social media platforms.
